It takes a very discerning eye to evaluate an American Paint
Horse. The varied and unique patterns create optical
illusions which can be misleading to the untrained or
unappreciative eye. The size, location, and shape of the
white and dark markings can distort perceptions and present
challenges which make conformation, balance, and sometimes
even movement difficult to evaluate. We
focus not on color or pattern, but rather on form to
function, breeding for excellence, balance, correctness,
soundness, and the mental and physical athleticism which
creates the true all-around performer.
